Serving Santa Ana, CA · Weekly service plans · Upfront monthly pricing
What a maintenance visit covers
- Filter cleaning, backwash, or DE recharge (cartridge deep-clean every 3–6 months recommended)
- Filter pressure reading and flow check
- Pump basket and impeller inspection, visual check for leaks under equipment
- Heater visual check and salt cell inspection where applicable
- Water chemistry test and balancing
Why equipment checks are part of every weekly visit
- Odd pump noises, pressure changes, and water stains are early warnings most owners miss
- Catching a worn seal or cracked basket early is the difference between a $20 part and a $900 motor
- Clean filters run the pump more efficiently — and your electric bill notices
- One-time maintenance visits run $85–$150; plan customers pay less per visit because the equipment stays in known condition
Frequently asked questions
How often should pool filters be cleaned?
Cartridge filters: a full deep-clean every 3–6 months depending on debris load. DE filters: backwash as pressure dictates, full tear-down and recharge once or twice a year. Sand filters: backwash regularly, with a deep clean or media check annually. Your plan includes scheduled filter cleaning.
What does a filter and equipment maintenance visit include?
Filter cleaning or backwash, pump basket and impeller check, filter pressure reading, visual inspection of pump, heater, and plumbing for leaks, salt cell inspection if applicable, and a water chemistry test with balancing.
How much does a one-time equipment visit cost?
Single maintenance visits typically run $85–$150 depending on filter type and what's involved. Regular plan customers pay less per visit because the equipment stays in known condition.
Can you tell if my pump or heater is about to fail?
Often, yes. Unusual noise, low or high filter pressure, water stains under equipment, or a heater that cycles oddly are early warnings. Weekly plan customers get these checks every visit — catching a $20 seal before it becomes a $900 motor replacement.
Do you repair pool equipment too?
We handle maintenance and minor fixes (baskets, o-rings, seals, filter cleaning). Major equipment replacement is quoted separately and always up to you — maintenance visits are about catching problems early, not upselling.
Is a variable-speed pump worth it?
For most OC pools, yes over time: they run quieter and use far less electricity than single-speed pumps. If your pump is aging, ask us during a maintenance visit and we'll give you an honest read on whether an upgrade pays back on your electric bill.
